James Leslie Ramsey, 71, of Georgetown, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born August 30, 1943 in Williamson, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Coleman Leslie & Julie Fannin Ramsey. He had been an account specialist for Kentucky Utilities and an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. His survivors include his wife, Linda McElroy Ramsey, a son, James (Jennifer) Ramsey, Jr. of Lexington, two daughters, Cynthia (Brian) Groff of Niantic, Ct., Katie (Christopher) Steffen of Georgetown, eight grandchildren, Holly, Coleman, Julia, Lakyn, Jake, Chris, Matt & Daniel, four brothers, Jack (Arlene) Ramsey , Jerry Ramsey, Dan (Linda) Ramsey & Michael Ramsey all of Virginia. Mr. Ramsey's request for cremation rites have been honored at this time. A gathering of remembrance service will be held January 18th, 2015 at the family's home from 1-5 PM.
