James R Teater, 86, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, July 8,2015 at his home on Maplewood Drive. Born Tuesday, November 20, 1928 in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Edward & Geneva Lackey Teater. He was locally known for his co-ownership at the Burger House, the Clark & Teater Pool Room, was a life-long farmer and served in the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Clark Teater. Survivors include a son; Jimmy Lynn Teater, a daughter; Terri Ann Teater, both of Lancaster, two grand-children; Jamison (Alicia) Teater & Jade Nicole Teater, and two great-grandchildren; Trinity Ashlynn Teater & Jaxon James Teater all of Lancaster. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Bryce McCulley officiating with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Mason, Greg Mason, Greg Combs, Paul Douglas Clark, Bobby Denny & Clay Clark. Honorary Pallbearers include Dickie Arnold, Darby Montgomery, Lonnie Napier, Woodie Leavell, Jimmy Dale Naylor, Pat Mason, Joyce Smiley, Mary Brown Caldwell & Willie Frances Graham.
