James Lewis Yeakey, 84, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Louisville. Born August 2, 1936 in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Lilburn & Gertrude Jones Yeakey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Clark Yeakey, a daughter, Kimitha Hume, a brother, Cecil, and four sisters, Estelle Johnson, Pauline Murphy, Christine Irvin, & Evelyn Yeakey. His survivors include three sons, Jerry (Katherine) Yeakey and Jeff Yeakey of Lancaster, Billy Keith Yeakey of Louisville, a daughter, Jennifer Yeakey and four grandchildren, Patty , Andrea & Jackie Hume and Christy Jo Hensley. Cremation rites for Mr. Yeakey have been honored. No further services have been scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may go to the Garrard County Animal Shelter.
