Jamesetta Joy (Metcalfe) Kurtz, 77, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, KY. Jamesetta was born September 18, 1943 to the late James B. Metcalfe and Mae Moberly. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold "Punchie" Kurtz. She was a member of Gunns Chapel Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Garrard County Fair Board and was a former president and active member of the Chatterboxes Homemaker Club. She enjoyed participating in community activities and traveling. Survivors include a daughter Jana (Ande) Godsey of Lancaster, KY, a son Jeff (Tammy) Kurtz of Richmond, KY, three brothers; Johnny (Linda) Metcalfe of Lancaster, KY, Jody Metcalfe of Stanford, KY, Jack Metcalfe of Stanford, KY and four grandchildren; Megan, Matthew and Timothy Kurtz of Richmond, KY and Katrina Godsey of Lancaster, KY. Private funeral services will be conducted on January 11, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev Everett Priddy. Burial will follow at Lancaster Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
