Janis Brown Flynn, 68, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at her residence. Born October 16, 1948 in Lexington, she was the daughter of Charles & Ruth Stokes Brown. Janis was a retired schoolteacher in the Madison County School System, attended Hyattsville Baptist Church and loved her horses. Janis is survived by her husband: Ernest "Bud" Flynn ; one son: Nathan (Melanie) McConathy of Lexington; one daughter: Genna (Lucas Freeman) Flynn of Nicholasville , and a grandson: Draven McConathy. A private graveside service was held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Lancaster Cemetery by Rev.
