Jerry Douglas "J.D." Davis, 67, of Garrard County, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at his home. Born October 28, 1951 in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Joe & Lucy Davis. J.D. was an electrician, a former employee of Bell South, & a member of Gilbert's Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Curt Davis. Survivors include a granddaughter , Gabriella Davis, of Lancaster; four brothers, James "Red" (Joyce) Davis of Danville, Delbert Wayne Davis of Cynthiana, Keith Davis and Billie Joe Davis , both of Nicholasville, and three sisters, Brenda Welch( Odell Isaacs) of Nicholasville, Margaret Lay, of Lancaster, and Connie (Harold) Estes of Irvine. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, March 25, 2019 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Browning officiating and burial following at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, with full Military rights performed by Caswell Saufley Post #18 of The American Legion.
