80, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Ft. Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born Saturday, February 9, 1935 in Jessamine County, he was a son of the late Hubert R. & Annie Mae Drury Preston. He was a former employee of the Garrard Mill and also repaired lawnmowers. He was a member of Hedgeville Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emily C. Davis Preston, a son; Joseph Preston, brothers; Charles, Johnny, George, Edwin & Donald Preston, and a sister; Mary Elizabeth Preston. Survivors include sons; Marvin (Betty) Preston, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Ron Preston, of Danville, Jessie Jr. Preston, of Lancaster, sisters; Betty Kidd, Glenda Preston, Doris Lottis & Carolyn Miracle, all of Danville, two Grandchildren, two step Grandchildren, three Great-Grandchildren and 3 step Great-Grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10:00AM Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, with Daryl Hodge officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene Preston, Darrell Kidd, Shorty Lottis, George Ray Preston, Stevie Preston & Mike Preston. Honorary pallbearers include Rocky Kidd, Bobby Damon Miracle, Joshua Allen Preston, Joseph Earl Preston Jr., Lewis Vickery & Eric Preston. Visitation will be 5-8:00PM Friday, September 18, 2015 at the funeral home.
