Jewell Brumett, 76, of Paint Lick, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at her residence. Born Sunday, October 4, 1942 in Pellyton, Kentucky she was a daughter of the late Homer Cooper and Floye Parsons Cooper. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Loyal "Buddy" Brumett, three brothers James Cooper, Ed Cooper and Travis Cooper as well as one deceased grandchild, Christopher Singleton. Survivors include three sons; Randy Singleton of Paint Lick, Ricky Singleton of Korea, Loyal (Vicki) Brumett Jr. of Berea, two daughters; Betty Brumett of Paint Lick, Kim Brumett of Lancaster, three brothers; Donald (Vern) Cooper, Larry (Ann) Cooper, Ronnie (Donna) Cooper, all of Ohio; one sister; Linda (Lonnie) George of Texas; seven grandchildren; Jackson Sparks, Dalton Jackson, Brayden Jackson, Garrett Singleton, Kasey Singleton, Gabriel Singleton, and Grayson Singleton. Jewell's wishes to be cremated will be honored. A memorial service will be held for her at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
