Jimmie Lane, 77 of Lancaster, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Danville, surrounded by his family. Jimmie was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.

Jim is survived by two sons, Chad (Buffy) Lane and Travis (Liz) Lane; grandchildren, James (Justina) Lane, Dillon (Kandis) Lane, Chance (Cassidy) Lane, Hallie Lane and Colton Lane; 9 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Cecil Hilton (Irene) Lane, as well as 2 sisters, Betty (the late Roy) Cox and Brenda McCulley.

Dad was born on Saturday, May 18, 1946 in Danville, and later joined hands in marriage with Linda Carol Sebastian. They set out on a journey that would last 50 years until her passing. In addition to his wife Linda, Dad is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Edward Lane and  Geneva Preston Lane.

Dad enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports and old cars. Dad also enjoyed working with his hands. He could construct, fabricate, design and do anything you could think of. Dad always said he loved it when a "plan comes together." He had tried his hand in many businesses, from Service Stations, to Coal Fields, to the Oil Industry, until finally settling into Industrial Service, in which he found great pleasure and accomplishment.

Funeral services for Jimmie will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Stump & Bro. Steve Meece officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chad Lane, Travis Lane, Chance Lance, Dillon Lane, James Lane and Colton Lane. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the funeral home.
