Joe Crane, 87, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Sunday, August 16, 1931 in Lexington, he was a son of the late Lewis, & Mary Haddix Crane. Joe was a former Electronics Engineer for Bluegrass Army Depot, past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a former member of Amvets Post 123 in Danville & the V.F.W. in Junction City. He was also a KY Colonel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Spencer Crane; daughter, Sharon True & a sister, Juanita Denney. Survivors include a son, David (Kyong Ae) Crane, of San Angelo, Texas, Charlotte (Douglas Otto) Crane, of Stephenson, Virginia; brother, Frank Crane, of California, grandchildren, Paul True, Christopher Crane, Daniel Crane, Matthew Crane & great-grandchildren, Ethan True, Sophia True, Paul True, Jr., & Millie Haney. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, December 31, 2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Estes officiating, and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery.
