John N. Burton, 80, of Garrard County, passed away Thursday May 16, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Sunday February 19, 1939 in Elwood, Indiana, he was a son of the late Doris J. Stoots. John was a United States Airforce veteran & a former business owner. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife Jean Burton; sons, Michael Forrest "Chip" & John Jr. Burton, & one daughter Tina Burton. Survivors include a son, Scott David Burton; companion, Jeanie Lawson and special friend, Bill Graves. Cremation rites have been honored and private services will be held at a later date.
