John Barry Rich, 79, of Lancaster, husband of Patricia Brown Rich, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in Lexington. Born Saturday, May 03, 1941 in Danville, he was a son of the late Hobert & Helen Ely Rich. John was the owner of Lincoln Tool & Die for 42 years & was a United States Army veteran. Survivors other than his wife, Patricia, of 56 years, include sons, Kendall (Wilma) Rich & Jeff (Jana) Rich, both of Lancaster; brother, Dr. Lyndall (the late Shirley) Rich, of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Austin (Presley) Rich, Dustin Rich, Kendra Rich & Barry Rich; nieces, Dr. Susan Rich, of Conway, Arkansas, Nancy Rich, of Destin, Florida, Jaime Kyper of Lancaster, as well as several cousins. A private graveside service will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Lancaster Cemetery with Rev. Bill Rhodus officiating & burial to follow. Military rites will be conducted by Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion. Pallbearers include his grandchildren.
