Joyce D. Grimes, 88, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Tuesday, July 07, 1931 in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Earl & Maude Davis Dailey. Joyce retired from Palm Beach, where she worked for 30 years and she also worked at Rite Aid. She was a member of Lancaster Church of Nazarene where she was a Sunday School teacher, past president of Missionary Society and a member of PALS Group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers; C. Dailey, Dick Dailey, Bobby "Butch" Dailey, Jesse Dailey, sister; Bessie Dailey, grandson; Austin Manning. Survivors include her husband, Louis Grimes of Lancaster, son; Mike (Teresa) Grimes of Lancaster, sisters; Genevieve Lamb, Doris (Willie) Lamb of Lancaster, grandchildren; Tarra (J.R) Grimes Marlow, Cristy (Charlie) Grimes McPherson, great-grandchildren; Madison Manning, Gavin Manning, Layla Manning, Payton Marlow, Cooper Marlow, Carter Marlow, step great-grandchildren; Kirsten McPherson & Katrina McPherson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 22, 2020 at Lancaster Church of Nazarene with Rev. Dwayne Lobb & Rev. Daryl Hodge officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Coffey, David Coffey, Harold Spears, Don Spears, David Anderson, Gilbert Tudor, Troy Sparks & Jeff Vance. Honorary pallbearers include Wanda Coffey, Wanda Anderson, Mary Jane Stempfly, Judy Lowery, Tammy Vance & Patricia Nunnemaker.
