Kevin Douglas Oliver, 55, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at his residence. Born Friday, October 2, 1964 in Garrard County, he was a son of Barbara Sebastian Oliver & the late Norman Oliver. Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved playing banjo and guitar with his uncle, the late Gary Oliver. He was a carpenter by trade and worked for Verizon. Kevin was a member of Freedom Baptist Church & worked 20 years in the Christian Appalachian Project. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Oliver, grandparents; Bro. Zora & Della Oliver, William & Leatrice Sebastian, uncle; Gary Oliver, aunt; Joan Coyle. Survivors include mother, Barbara Sebastian Oliver, of Lancaster, son, Matthew Oliver, of Danville, sister, Rhonda Oliver, of Lancaster, grandson, Hoyt Oliver, of Danville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, August 07, 2020 at Ramsey - Young Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Browning & Rev. Bryan Watts officiating, with burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Chad Isaacs, Randy Preston, Chris Butner, Derrick Butner, Tyler Oliver, Sonny Lester, Troy Miller & Glenn Lear. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. In accordance with the health mandate from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, all visitors will be required to wear face coverings and exhibit proper social distancing practices.
