Larry Ray Reece, 64, of Lancaster, husband of Delores VanZant Reece, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at UK Medical Center. Born Thursday, May 19, 1955 in Madison County, he was the son of Lillie Miller Reece & the late Ray Reece. Larry was a former employee for IBM he was also a farmer. Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting and horseback riding. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Hager. Survivors, other than his wife, Delores VanZant Reece, include his mother Lillie Miller Reece of Richmond, daughters; Renee (Tim) Davis of Lancaster, Doriska (Kevin) Austin of Lancaster, Kendra (Jamie) Goodpaster of Lancaster, brothers; Darrell (Janice) Reece of Lancaster, James David (Kathy) Reece of Richmond, sisters; Teresa (Jimmy) Middleton of Richmond, Lillian (The late Shirley) Hendricks of Richmond, five grandchildren; Shea Davis, Harper Austin, Rowan Goodpaster, Ty Davis & Bryce Austin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 17, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, with Rev. Stephen Brogli officiating, & burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Darrell Reece, James David Reece, Ty Davis, Kevin Austin, Jamie Goodpaster, Brian Hendricks & Greg Hendricks. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Austin, Rowan Goodpaster, Jimmy Canada & Tim Davis. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the funeral home.
