Laura C. Elam, 71, of Stanford, wife of Donald Elam, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at her residence. Born Sunday, April 11, 1948 in London, she was a daughter of the late James Harold & Norma Jean Howard Rhodus. Laura spent many years in Secretarial positions and was a Reiki Master, a Kentucky Colonel & was a Christian. Survivors, other than her husband, Donald Elam, include a son, Butch (The late Lana) Caudill, of Maysville; daughter, Pam (Paul) Snyder, of Waynesburg, step-sons, Dwayne Elam, & Tim Elam, both of Mt. Vernon; step-daughter, Marca (Larry) Coffey, of Berea; brother, Jimmy (Dorethia) Rhodus, of Cartersville; sister, Kathy (Richard) Ginn, of Lucasville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Donnie Caudill of Maysville, Mackenzie Goode of Lancaster and Harley Snyder of Waynesburg, eight step-grandchildren, & three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, with Rev. Johnny Baker, & Rev. Richard Ginn officiating & burial following at Paint Lick Cemetery.
