Leland Vanoy, 68 of Lancaster, loving husband of Norma Ray Vanoy, passed away Tuesday, July 02, 2019 at UK Medical Center. Born Monday, December 04, 1950 in Casey County, he was a son of the late Ernest & Elnora Randolph Vanoy. Leland was a retired employee for Corning Inc. & attended Victory Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chris Vanoy ; daughter, Lee Ann Vanoy; brothers, Wilbur & Boyd Vanoy & a sister, Gloria Bright. Survivors other than his wife include sons; Brian (Lee) Vanoy, of Danville, Robin (Tara) Short, of Harrodsburg, Donnie Ray (Heather) Short, of Lancaster; brother, Stanley Vanoy, of Hustonville; sisters, Darlene Qualls, of Junction City, Mildred Followell, of Indiana, as well as seven grandchildren, Zak Pruitt, Kalynn, Emily & Bryce Vanoy, Jordan, Kaycee & Jonah Short.. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 06, 2019 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Pastor John Kessel & Justin Boyd officiating with burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Keith Bright, Kevin Bright, Jordan Short, Jackie Hume, Gary Qualls & Jerry Winchester. Honorary pallbearers include Earl McQueary, Bob Thomas, Don Payton, Larry Gayton, Jim McGirr & Mike Bright. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 05, 2019 at the funeral home.
