Louise
Edgington
Jun 11, 1931 — Dec 20, 2025
Lancaster
Mildred Louise Naylor Edgington (Louise), age 94 went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2025. Born on June 11,1931 to Curt Naylor and Suda B. Dixon Naylor, she was an example of love and strength for her family and all who knew her.
After the death of her mother when she was only six months old, Louise was raised by her grandparents, Samuel and Cynthia Naylor. She grew up on Kemper Lane in Garrard County, Kentucky and attended Camp Dick Robinson School where she graduated with the Class of 1949. She married her loving husband J.F. Edgington, on October 07, 1949, and spent the next seventy years side by side before his passing in 2019. She dedicated her life to raising their children Barbara Ray (Wayne), Cindy Rogers (Jerry), the late Richard Edgington (Lisa), and Curtis Edgington (Deronia).
Louise was a Baptist and loved the Lord always having her Bible close at hand. She will be remembered for her willingness to help her family and her neighbors and her sharp wit. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her plants, homemaking, crocheting gifts for family and friends, quilting, learning, reading (especially her Bible), and was an expert seamstress. Through her many talents she created lasting memories for those she loved. After many years as a farm wife and helping with every facet of farm life, her first public job was with Moss Flower Shop where she enjoyed learning about the art of floral design. Later she was employed by Mom Blakeman's Candy shop and formed many lasting friendships with fellow workers.
Louise has eight grandchildren, Joseph Ray, Hunter Ray, Jennifer Rogers-Sigler (Mike), Jessica McKinney (Toby), Richie Edgington (Jennifer Frazier), Emili Whited (Ethan), and Patricia Burton (Shane), Jay Coates (Jessica). She has eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews all loved and cherished by her.
