Obituary

Manford Bradley Bolton, 82 of Lancaster, KY went home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2021.

He was born in Garrard County on October 30, 1938 to the late Charles O'Neal and Martha East Bolton.

Manford was a loving husband, wonderful father, and outstanding grandaddy and great grandfather.  He worked for IBM for 24 years; and, in retirement worked at Mom Blakeman's Candy. He was a veteran of the 100th Division of U.S. Army Reserves. He was a fisherman, loved to farm and drive his John Deere tractor. He was a UK Wildcat fan; and, he loved to watch his children and grandchildren at their sporting events - he rarely missed a game. One of his favorite activities was to hang out with his friends at the "McDonald's Breakfast Club". Manford loved to help others and has provided and cared for many throughout his life, especially his family.

Manford gave his life to the Lord when he was 12 years old. He taught Sunday School for many years at Good Hope Baptist Church and was a member of Forks of Dix River Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a greeter and usher and worked with the Celebrate Recovery Program.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Ann McQuerry Bolton; two daughters - Ann Quinn Vetter (Scott) of Louisville, KY; Elizabeth (Beth) Prather (Terry) of Lancaster, KY; and, one son - Johnny O'Neal Bolton (Kathy) of Nicholasville, KY; two sisters - Anna DeMarcus of Stanford, KY and Betty Cordier (Harry) of Nicholasville, KY; six grandchildren - Dylan Teague (Ande), Hagan Teague, Logan Teague, Joshua Bolton, Matthew Quinn, and McKenzie Quinn; and two great granddaughters – Sophia Teague and Rose Teague.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Bolton.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Browning, Rev. Dwayne Dasher and Rev. Bill Rhodus officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 pm.

Active pallbearers are Dylan and Logan Teague, Joshua Bolton, Matthew Quinn, Mike Bolin and Darrell Edgington. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Rev. Bill Rhodus' Men's Sunday School Class of Forks of Dix River.

Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery.
