Margaret Stinnett Davis, 83, Marksbury Avenue in Lancaster, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Christian Care Center. Born March 17, 1932 in Jessamine County, she was a daughter of the late Fred & Ethel Pearl Grant Stinnett. She had been a longtime employee of Garrard Co. Memorial Hospital and a member of Lancaster Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Mote Davis, & two brothers; Jerry & Charles Stinnett. Her survivors include two sons; James (Dell) Mote Davis, Jr. of Naples, Fl. and Ricky Davis of Knoxville, Tn., two daughters; Rita (Donald) Ballard of Lincoln County & Linda (William) Moore of Lancaster, three stepchildren, three brothers; Roy, Billy & James Stinnett , all of Jessamine Co., two sisters; Pat Bain & Helen Hampton of Jessamine Co., 8 grandchildren , 5 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren & one step great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 26, 2015 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Brad Johnson, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville. Pallbearers will be William Moore, Jr., Brian Moore, William Larry Ballard, Steve Ballard, Matthew Ballard & Louis Stinnett. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
