Martha Dale Rogers Murphy, 82 of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Born Saturday, January 18, 1936 in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Nat & Rebecca Ledford Rogers. She was a hairdresser, enjoyed golf & tennis, & was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Nathaniel "June" Rogers, & a son, Mike Maupin. Survivors include her husband, Frank Murphy of Florida; sons, Roger Dale (Vivian) Maupin of Georgetown, Eddie (Paula) Cantrell of Lancaster; brother, Bill (Verna) Rogers of Florida; five grandchildren, Jonathan Maupin, Lee Ann Dailey, Mark Perkins, Tom Mattingly, Jason (Casey) Perkins; great-grandchildren, Halee Smolinsky, Alexa Austin, Paytin Dailey, Cadin, Dawson, & Wyatt Perkins, & Dean Maupin; sister-in-law, Virginia Rogers of Florida; daughter-in-law Lyda Maupin of Lancaster. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Durham officiating & burial following at Paint Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jason Perkins, Mark Perkins, J.D. Maupin, Bobby Durham, Austin Dailey, & Tom Bennett. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the funeral home.
