Mary Elizabeth Metcalf Adkison, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Landmark of Lancaster at the age of 96. Born December 31, 1922 in Paint Lick, she was a daughter of the late John & Kate Davis Metcalf. She had been a homemaker and was the widow of John M. Adkison., In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Quentin & Walter Metcalf and three sisters, Georgetta Boyle, Thelma Clark & Canaan Murphy. She leaves to mourn her passing a daughter, Doan Adkison of Lancaster. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Lancaster Cemetery by Rev. Bob Mallory. Pallbearers will be Kimmel Boyle, Phillip Murphy, Wendell Metcalf, Terry Powers, Gerald Adkison & Dan Ward Ledford. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Teater, Chris Thomason, Donnie Bailey , Kevin Brickey, Bady & Phyllis Muncy as well as the staff of Landmark of Lancaster.
