Mary E. Smith, 64 , of Lancaster, wife of John Smith, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Born on Wednesday, December 17, 1958 in Louisville, she was a daughter of the late Cyrus & Vivian Wenner Isaacs. Mary was a Christian. She enjoyed cooking, going on vacations, spending time with friends & spoiling her pets. She was a former employee for Electronic Assembly in Richmond & Smith's Restaurant, of Lancaster. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister., Nancy Murray.

Survivors other than her husband John include a step-daughter, Stephanie (Brian) Swinney, of Lancaster & 3 grandchildren, Blake, Brandon & Braxton Swinney, as well as 2 sisters, Helen Sampson & Sharon Brown.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Darrel Estes officiating. Honorary pallbearers include her grandsons, Blake, Brandon & Braxton Swinney, George Smith, Loretta & Don Rinthen, Debbie & David Middleton, John Athan Daugherty & Willie Francis Graham. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the funeral home.
