Maudie Ethel Burke, 92, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, August 08, 2020 at her home. Born Wednesday, June 13, 1928 in Letcher County, she was the daughter of the late Roby L. & Mary Wright Mullins. Maudie was a former accountant & shop owner. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Polmer Burke; son, Wesley Randall Burke; grandchildren, Sean Paul Dailey, Jessica Rhea Burke, April Ashley Burke & Michael Brandon Burke. Survivors include a son, Polmer Wayne Burke, of Washington State; daughters, Violet Ann Burke Jasper, of Somerset, Mary Sue Burke (Larry) Fletcher, of Danville; sisters, Lexi Opal Belcher, of Tennessee, Alma Lillian Mullins, of Florida, Dixie Helen Bowling, of London; grandchildren, Michele Renee Jasper, Maudie Marie Burke, Patrick Shane Burke, David Benjamin Burke, Crystal Cassandra Burke, Polmer Wayne Burke & Steven Sean Burke. She also leaves behind twenty great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Robbie Osbourne officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Larry Fletcher, Tom Addington, Ronnie Addington, Polmer Burke, Kenneth Mullins & Billy Ray Bowling. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the funeral home.
