Maurine Sanders East Malear, 90 of Nina Ridge in Lancaster, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Baptist Health Hospital in Madison County. Born June 23, 1924, in Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Burton and Della Roberts Sanders. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands; Ed East and Chester Malear, a brother; George Sanders, a sister; Elizabeth Sanders and an infant son; Bobby East. Survivors include her daughter; Marilyn (Robert) Davis, of Lancaster, a grandchild; Marcella (John) Starck, of Glen Carbon, Illinois and a great grandchild, Braden Starck. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Bros. Wayne Howard and Dallas Murphy with a burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mason Long, Marvin Long, Joe Floyd, John Starck, Carlisle Stone and Carl Allen Ward. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Fowler, Hogan Moore, Danny Allen, Caywood Metcalf and Doug Cook. Visitation will be 5-9PM Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the funeral home.
