Michael D. Broughton, 57, of Turkeyfoot Ridge in Garrard County, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 in Lexington. Born April 16, 1957 in Garrard County, he was a son of the late James & Evelyn Denny Broughton. He was a lifelong farmer and a member the Rocky Mountain Pentecostal Holiness Church. His survivors include his wife, Ilinda Saylor Broughton, a son, Michael Craig (Kristin) Broughton; a daughter, Tori LeaAnn (Zachary) Harold; four grandchildren, Allison , Ileah & Chase Broughton, Brian Harrison; two brothers, Jerry & Ricky Broughton; five sisters , Joyce Jordan, Valerie Walls, Audrey Helton, Brenda Bryant, & Rita Hinds, all of Garrard County. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, August 25, 2014 at Ramsey Funeral Home by Revs. Morris Mullins & Chuck Elam with burial following in the Elmer Saylor Cemetery in Garrard County. Pallbearers will be Brian Fryer, Shannon Saylor & Tony Wayne Saylor, Chad & Craig Broughton & Zach Harold. Visitation will be from 6-9 Sunday at the funeral home.
