Michael Allen Maupin, 62, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017, at UK Medical Center. He was the son of Victor "Buddy" (Glenda) Maupin of Lancaster and Martha Dale Rogers (Frank) Murphy of Hollywood, Florida, and was born February 12, 1955, in Garrard County, Kentucky. Mike was a carpenter who specialized in restoring log homes; enjoyed fishing and arrowheads; and was a member of Hyattsville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Lyda Lane Maupin; sons, Mark Perkins of Garrard County and Jason (Casey) Perkins of Lancaster; daughter, Lee Ann Dailey of Lancaster; brothers, Roger Dale (Vivian) Maupin of Georgetown and Eddie (Paula) Cantrell of Lancaster; and grandchildren Halee Smolinsky; Alexa, Austin & Paytin Dailey; and Cadin, Dawsin and Wyatt Perkins. Funeral services will be held 2:00 Monday, June 19, 2017 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Eddie Cantrell and Tiffany Cole with burial following at Cedar Hill Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:00 to 2:00 prior to service. Pallbearers will be Jesse Cantrell, Coty Cantrell, Eddie Cantrell, Lee Ann Dailey, Mark Perkins, Jason Perkins, Jonathon Maupin, Roger Maupin and Austin Dailey.
