Mollie Mae Rogers Henderson, 102 of Paint Lick, passed away May 18, 2019 at Landmark of Lancaster. Born Thursday, March 08, 1917 in Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Nathaniel Wilson & Mary Frances Wynn Rogers. Being a former Garrard County school teacher for multiple years, she touched the lives of the many students and people who knew her. Mollie was a 1939 graduate of EKU, was a member of Old Paint Lick Presbyterian Church, KEA Retired Teachers Association, the Paint Lick Homemakers, as well as a Sunday School teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Henderson; son, Don Henderson; brothers, William, John and Elkenah Rogers; sisters, Faye Rogers Hensley and Sara Parks. Survivors include a son John W. Henderson of Paint Lick; daughter Trish Broughton (Darby) Montgomery, of Lancaster; daughter in law, Sandra Henderson, special daughter & companion, Shirley Beasley of Crab Orchard; seven grandchildren, Scott (Shannon) Broughton, Kevin (Stacey) Broughton, Jennifer Henderson Speake, Leah Henderson, John Tyler Henderson, Courtney Henderson & Christopher (Ashley) Henderson; nine great-grandchildren, Hannah, Levi, Eleanor, Natalie and Carly Broughton, Zachary and Logan Speake and Jaxdon and Maddox Henderson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Mallory officiating and burial following at Paint Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions go to Heritage Hospice. Ramsey-Young Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
