Oneva Baker Ray, 91, of Perry Rogers Road in Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at her residence. Born August 15, 1925 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Sidney Forest & Susie Long Baker. She had been a farmer all her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Stewart Ray, and two sons, Roy Mitchell Ray & Royce Ray. Her survivors include a brother, James Baker of Lancaster, a sister, Kathleen Tatum of Henderson, Ky., daughter in law, Alice Pingleton Ray of Lancaster, her caretakers, Priscilla Flynn, Butch & Pam Canter, Donna McQuerry & Delores Isaacs, all of Lancaster and numerous nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held in Lancaster Cemetery by Rev. Bryce McCulley . Pallbearers are Butch Canter, Buddy Rogers, Buddy Maupin, Russ Ford, Priscilla Flynn, Donna McQuerry & Kevin Ellis. Ramsey-Young Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
