Osie Montgomery Williams , 85, of Lexington, passed away Sat. March 18, 2017 at her home. Born Sat. August 29, 1931 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Ike & Bertie P. Montgomery. She was a former cashier for Foodtown & Gateway, a member of Southern Acres Church, loved her family, enjoyed cooking, & was a Buckeye High School Graduate. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Jerome "Romie" Williams, brother; Bob Montgomery, sisters; Edna Belle Estes, Virgie Mae Layton, & Florence Estes. Survivors include sons; Ernie Bim (Susan) Williams of Winchester, Charlie (Barbara) Williams of Casey County, daughter; Valeria "Pete" (Michael) Stansfield of Florida, grandchildren; Christopher & Michael Williams, & great-grandchild; Chase Williams. Funeral service will be 11AM Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bruce Carpenter officiating & burial taking place in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Christopher & Michael Williams, David & Jimmy Shields, & Corey & Ed Layton. Honorary pallbearers are Osie's nieces, nephews, & their spouses. Visitation will be 3:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may go to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
