Ralph Wayne Sebastian, 92, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Landmark of Lancaster. Born Saturday, April 06, 1929 in Garrard County. He was a son of the late Arthur & Marie Prewitt Sebastian. At the age of 18 Ralph joined the United States Army, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class and served proudly for 28 years.  It was during his time in the military, stationed in Japan, where he met the love of his life, Yoshiko.  Ralph and Yoshiko married in 1957 and were married for 52 years before Yoshiko's passing.  Ralph also had an intense love for all animals including his horses, dogs and his beloved cats, Cutie Pie and Yukee. Ralph was also a member of the Forks of Dix River.

Aside from his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by his wife, the late Yoshiko Sebastian, his brothers, Lloyd, Tolbert, and Burnam Sebastian, and a sister, Leeta Rose. He is survived by his sister, Brenda (Jerold) Durham, of West Chester, OH, several nieces and nephews, and many close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 18, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with burial following at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Military rites will be at 2:30 PM Friday, March 18, 2022 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, performed by the Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion, who will also serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Terry Durham, B. Sebastian, Rick Sebastian, Billy Rose, and Delaney Durham. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
