William Randal "Randy" Causey, 57, passed away peacefully at his home with his sister, Dale Hellard, who cared for him during his illness. His nieces and their families also provided their help and support for his care. Born April 10, 1966 in Garrard County, Randy was a son of the late Herbert & Gladys Conn Causey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Wayne Causey, a sister, Barbara Jean French, and a brother in law, Ronnie Hellard. He had been a supply clerk at several companies and had retired as a General Manager of Middletown Industrial Hardware Store in Berea. Randy was an avid World War II history buff, and loved watching the older Western shows and movies of years gone by, especially John Wayne movies. Funeral services for Randy will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 28, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Harvie Spry with burial following in Cartersville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Robbie East, Janson Hurt, Randy's namesake , William Connor Hurt, Jimmy McQueen, Kevin Middleton & Robert Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Day,  Ricky Causey, Terry Causey, Dale Hellard, Rita & Earnest Hillard, Regina Combs, his aunts, Eunice & Margie Causey, his nieces and their families, Sharon Hurt, Lisa Middleton, Karen Foster, Renee Causey-Upton, Jenny Causey-Kendall, and his devoted companion, known simply as "DOG."
