Rita Faye Ballard, 71, of Stanford, wife of Donald Wayne Ballard, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at her home with her loving family. Born April 09, 1949 in Jessamine County, she was a daughter of the late James Mote & Margaret Lucille Stinnett Davis. Rita was a former employee at American Greetings, loved gardening and tending to her flower beds & was a member & volunteer at Grace Fellowship Church. Survivors other than her husband include Mrs. Scott "Peanut" Haggas, of Louden, Tennessee; step-son, Matthew Wayne Ballard, of Lexington; step-daughters, Dana Marie Ballard, of Lexington & Debra Carmack, of Glasow; brothers, James Mote (Dell) Davis, Jr., of Naples, Florida, Ricky ( Pamela) Davis, of Dunnellon, Florida; sister, Linda (William) Moore, of Garrard County; two grandchildren, Logan Haggas & Autumn Haggas, along with five step-grandchildren & five step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Graef & Rev. Vola Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until service time on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday January 20, 2021, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to the Grace Fellowship Church Food Pantry; P.O.
