Robert E. Broaddus, 66, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville. Born June 9, 1950 in Danville, he was the son of Jeff "Buster" & Helen Louise Goins Broaddus of Lancaster. Robert was self employed with his own flooring business, a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Thomason. Survivors other than his parents include a son: William Charles Broaddus; four daughters: Nicole Elaine Broaddus; Danica Marie (Matthew) Bayer; Megan Jolene Broaddus; & Tara Lynn (Robby) Hazelwood, all of Columbus, Indiana; two brothers: Ralph (Johnetta) Broaddus and Jeffrey Lynn Broaddus of Lancaster; two sisters: Linda Stone & Helen Bailey, all of Lancaster, and 19 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday April 8, 2017 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Durham officiating. Visitation will be from 11 - 1 Saturday at the funeral home.
