Rosalee Woods Parson passed from this life on May 12, 2023. Rosalee was born January 22, 1934 and she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Matilda Logan Parson.

Rosalee was a 1948 graduate of Buckeye High School. She worked at Genesco and went on to work at Mathew's Conveyor (formerly Rexnord) where she retired after 25 years of service.

Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lemorris and Ralph; and sister, Elizabeth. She is survived by four nieces; Nelma (Wayne) Martin, Adrienne (Rick) Gastineau, Donna Parson and Karen (Ricky) Smith; two great-nieces, two great-nephews, and three great-grandnieces. Rosalee is also survived by her lifelong friend Norma Adams and her beloved dog, Casey.

Rosalee loved to travel. Her many photo albums detail trips all over the country, from the 1964 World's Fair in New York to Texas, Florida, out West to California, and many trips to the Grand Ole Opry. In recent years, her travel was confined to Lancaster and the surrounding areas but many recall seeing her in the car with Casey who was her constant companion. She also loved southern gospel and old-time country music (and Elvis too).

Rosalee was a lifelong member of Antioch Christian Church and an active member of her Sunday School class there.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with burial following at Lancaster Cemetery with Bro. Val McCord officiating. Pallbearers include Billy Broaddus, Rick Gastineau, Marshall Norton, Cody Lowe, and Micha Gastineau. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until service time on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
