Roy Browning, 63, of Lancaster, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. Roy was born Monday, July 09, 1956 in Richmond, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Walter Browning and the late Reatha Brock Brumett Browning. Roy worked in construction as a roofer and was a skilled carpenter. He also enjoyed auctions. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Reatha Browning and siblings: Tony Browning, Betty Brumett Turner, Clisten Brumett, Buddy Brumett, Bill Brumett & Rosella Brumett. Survivors include five sons, all of Lancaster, Kentucky: Shawn Byron (Tonya) Powell, Josh Dale Anderson, Brandon Keith (Jenica) Anderson, and twin sons, Roy Nathaniel Browning and Anthony Allen Browning. He leaves behind a special long time friend, Betty Browning, and twelve grandchildren: Zander Powell, Reagen Powell, Bristol Powell, Karsten Powell, Tyler McQueary, Jack Moore, Jordan Anderson, Ace Anderson, Myles Anderson, Willa Anderson, Abi Browning and Rylan Browning, as well as siblings: Hulen (Virginia) Brumett, of Berea, Kentucky, Jim (Rita) Brumett, of Gray Hawk, Kentucky, Nancy Browning Reyes (Miguel Trejo) of Jefferson, South Carolina, and Doris Browning (Mickey) Poynter, of Berea, Kentucky. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved him. Roy's wishes for cremation have been honored and a memorial service will be held this Saturday, September 21, 2019, at 3:00 PM in the basement dining hall of the Lancaster First Assembly of God church at 495 Industry Road in Lancaster, Kentucky.
