Ruth Engle Rogers, 89, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born November 14, 1928 in Garrard County, Ruth was a daughter of the late Chester Kimber & Minerva Cox Engle. She had been a secretary for many years at Lancaster Elementary, Lancaster Baptist Church and for Sanders & Sanders attorney office. She was a member of Lancaster Christian Church. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by three sisters, Ann Gaskin, Francis Brooking, Billye Jean Wilson , and her husband J. Lee Rogers. She is survived by her daughter , Mary Jean Rogers of Lexington. Graveside services will be held 12 Noon on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Lancaster Cemetery with Rev. Don Burton officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions go to the Landmark of Lancaster Resident Activity Fund, 308 W. Maple Avenue, Lancaster, Ky. 40444.
