Shelton "Crane" Lane, 62, of Three Forks Road in Lancaster, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at his home. Born June 18, 1952 in Danville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Donald & Minnie Pearl Hardwick Lane. Shelton was a carpet installer, a member of Forks of Dix River Baptist Church, loved hunting for arrowheads , fishing, his motorcycle and being outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step daughter, Stephanie Popplewell. His survivors include his wife, Kaye Terry Lane, a son, Jimmy (Jessica) Lane of Eubank, a grandson, Landen Lane , two step grandchildren, Cole & Lexie Allen and three brothers, Donald Ray (Janet) Lane of Lancaster, Randy (Donna) Lane of Junction City, & Mark (Lisa) Lane of Bardstown. Shelton's request for cremation ceremonies have been honored. A memorial service will take place 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. Jerry Browning.
