Shirley Kennedy Beasley, 84, of Garrard County, wife of Earl Beasley, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Born Monday, May 30, 1938 in Old Town, Maine, she was a daughter of the late George E. & Glenna Drake Kennedy. Shirley enjoyed quilting & painting, and was a member of Preachersville Methodist Church. She was a former factory worker for Cowden Manufacturing Co. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Allen K. Beasley, Gordon Beasley; brother, Everett Kennedy; sister, Marian Derich.

Survivors other than her husband Earl include daughters, Jill (Larry) Johnson, of Jessamine County, Monica (Brad) Clark, of Lexington; brothers, Carrol (Caroline) Kennedy, of Maine, Donald (Lisa) Kennedy, of New Jersey; sisters, Phyllis (The late Herb) Fitzpatrick, of Georgia, Betty (The late Peter) Newcomb, of Maine, Faye (Larry) Marshall, of Georgia; grandchildren, Samantha Beasley, Christopher Snow, Nick Beasley, Jamie Duncan & 7 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 5, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Lanny Haselwood officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until service time on Monday, December 5, 2022 at the funeral home. Shirley's wishes for cremation have been honored.
