Obituary

Sky Ames Tudor, 73, of Danville Rd, passed away in his home Monday, August 7, 2017. Born Thursday, August 12, 1943 in Bloomington, Indiana, he was the son of the late John Julian Tudor and Ida Louise Vanderpool Tudor. In addition he was preceded in death by his wife Priscilla Ann France Tudor. He was a current member of the Lancaster Baptist Church, a member of Southern Baptist Foundation of Alaska and Kentucky Baptist. He also had attended Calvary Baptist Church in Anchorage, Alaska and was very active in the Grace Works Alaska Ministry while living in Alaska. He was a decorated retired Lt. Colonel of the U.S. Airforce from May 1966 until January 1991, and retired FAA. He was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska at time of his retirement. Survivors include sons, Sky (Brenda) Tudor of Anchorage, Alaska, and Scott Tudor of Seattle, Washington; one brother, John (Patti) Tudor, Jr. of Pennsylvania; and one sister, Sally (Glenn) Watkins of Lancaster, with one grandchild, Skylar Tudor. Sky's wishes for cremation rites have been honored at this time. A visitation will be held Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 1-4 PM with funeral service at 4:00 PM at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Dr. Harold Best. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Happy Seniors Sunday School Class of Lancaster Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to the Grace Works Alaska Ministry, 4149 Checkmate Drive, Anchorage, AK 99508.
