Obituary

Stanley Herron LeMay, 85, husband of Minnie Thomas LeMay of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away Mon., Jan. 19, 2015. Born in Lancaster, Kentucky, to Amon and Leano East LeMay, Stanley was a machinist at IBM for 34 years. A Korean War veteran, Stanley served in the U.S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic from 1950-54, earning four medals. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John LeMay; and one son, Randy LeMay. Stanley is survived by his wife; two children, Shawn (Louis) Gehlhausen of Frankfort and Greg LeMay of Cinn. Ohio, ; daughter-in-law, Cindy LeMay of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Jessica (Tracey) Smiley, Maegan (Joe) Holland, Cori (Buddy) Yeager, Ryan Gehlhausen, Courtney LeMay, Sarah LeMay, Shelby Gehlhausen, Catherine LeMay, and Adam Gehlhausen; four great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at Ramsey Funeral Home in Lancaster, with visitation Thursday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam & Ryan Gelhausen, Mike Dean, Nick Shelton, Joe Holland, Buddy Yeager, Christopher Birnbaum & Cody Nolin. Honorary bearers will be Jesse LeMay, Rick & Zach Shelton, Ronnie Thomas, Tracey Smiley, Blaine Boone, Justin, Michael & Larry Dean. lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504 or the Randy LeMay Scholarship fund at the Lexington Clinic Foundation, 350 Elaine Drive Suite 100, Lexington, Kentucky 40504.
