Toney Ray Tackett, 76, of Buckeye Road, Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at her residence. Born April 21, 1938 in Garrard County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Alfred & Elizabeth McKinney Starnes. Toney had been a supervisor at Cowdens Manufacturing and was a retired employee from Hitachi, as well as a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy & Paul Starnes, and two brother in laws, Manford Talbot and Garnell Conley. Her survivors include her son, Gilbert (Lois) Ray of Lancaster, a brother, G.B. (Betty) Starnes of Somerset, three sisters, Nadine (Tom) Scott & Joetta Talbot of Lancaster, & Janie Conley of Somerset, three grandchildren, Charlie & Daniel Ray, Gennie Ray Tillman, and four great grandchildren, Leeanna Simpson, Amber & Zackery Ray & Emilea Tillman. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. Billy Estes and Alfred Thomas Scott, with burial following in Paint Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charlie & Daniel Ray, Gennie Tillman, John Hancock, Chris Talbot & Richard Harrison. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Friday at the funeral home.
