Vesta Fields Peters, 99, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, April 05, 2020 at Fort Logan Hospital. Born Thursday, August 19, 1920 in Leslie County, she was the daughter of the late John M. & Maggie Young Fields. Vesta was a nurses aide at Garrard County Hospital and a member of Dix River Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Conley Peters, Sr., son; James Peters. Survivors include sons; Conley (Kathy) Peters, of Lancaster, Jess (Bette) Peters, of Florida, Larry (Christine) Peters, of Illinois, Charles (Rose) Peters, of Ohio, daughter; Mae (the late Walter) Armstrong, of Florida, nineteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 08, 2020 at Lancaster Cemetery with Rev. Walter Bowling officiating.
