Obituary

Violet Ann Burke Jasper, 74, of Jellico, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Born on Friday, September 16, 1949 in Pikeville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Polmer & Maudie Mullins Burke. Violet loved working as a C.N.A., and enjoyed reading, sewing, drawing and painting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Burke, and a great-grandchild, Lincoln.

Survivors include her daughter, Michele Jasper, of Somerset; brother, Wayne (Dell) Burke, of Washington; sister, Mary (Larry) Fletcher, of Danville; sister-in-law, Teresa Burke, of Indiana; grandchildren, Ashley, Heather and Justin; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Raiden, Annabell, Layla, Xyleigh, Leighten and Atticus, as well as a host of nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, December 8, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Daryl Hodge officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the funeral home.
