Obituary

Virgil Ray Hall, 86, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. Born Friday, October 18, 1929 in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Amon & Lucy Davis Hall. He was a farmer, served in the U.S Army during the Korean War, was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, & enjoyed deer hunting.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Winifred Jeanetta Sutton Hall, brothers; Calvin, Aha, Clayton, Jesse, Frank, & Hubert Hall, sisters; Christine Blakeman, Mary Edith Marrow, Leathy Glenn, & Ethel Carrier. Survivors include a son; Roger (Debbie) Hall, of Lancaster, daughters; Sandy (Jerry) Walton, & Rhonda (Daryl) Morris, all of Lancaster, two brothers; Dan(Dorothy) Hall and Roy C. (Carol) Hall of Lancaster & six grandchildren; Steven Walton, Adam & Alex Hall, Jessica, Curtis & Randa Morris. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Friday, April 15, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Zandle Hasty officiating and a burial following at Freedom Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Sutton, Mike Sutton, Troy Hall, Shannon Hall, Donnie Morris, & Wesley Jones. Visitation will be 5-9:00 PM Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Friends & family may share memories or leave condolences on his tribute wall at www.ramsey-young.com. Ramsey-Young Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
