Walter Calvin
Hulett
Jul 29, 1937 — Oct 20, 2026
London
Walter Calvin Hulett, of London, Kentucky, was born on July 29, 1937, in Garrard County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Willie Mack Hulett and Pauline Arnold Hulett.
In 1956, Walter was united in marriage to his devoted wife, Phyllis June May Hulett, who survives. Together, they shared a loving marriage of 70 years, building a lifetime of cherished memories, raising their family, and remaining devoted to one another through all of life's joys and challenges. Their enduring love was a beautiful testament to a lifetime of commitment and companionship.
He is also survived by two loving sons, Walter T. Hulett and wife Sally of London, Kentucky, and Elroy Hulett and wife Kim of Lancaster, Kentucky; two sisters, Ella Morgan of London, Kentucky, and Paulett Casey and husband Ronnie of Athens, Georgia; four grandchildren, Jennifer Hulett Gray and husband Josh, Katie Mink and husband Kyle, Tesa Bales and husband Tim, and Ryan Hulett and wife Hanna; seventeen great-grandchildren, Charlie, Elizabeth, Addison, Todd, Harper, Hannah, Haley, Gracie, William, Beau, Avery, Boone, Shelby, Haley, Christian, Logan, and Aubrey; four great-great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jack, Della, and Alba, with another great-great-grandchild on the way; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends who will deeply mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by three siblings, Billy Hulett, Rebecca Ann Hulett, and Mack Gordon Hulett.
Walter was a devoted member of Corinth Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as an usher for many years, a role he truly cherished. His love for attending church and his faith in his Lord and Savior were important parts of his life. Walter's faith guided him throughout his journey, and he found great joy and comfort in being part of his church family. His steadfast devotion to God was reflected in the way he lived—with humility, kindness, and a willing heart to serve others.
He was a dedicated contractor and the owner and operator of Walter T. Hulett and Sons. A remarkably skilled carpenter, Walter had a gift for fixing just about anything, whether repairing equipment or completing renovations. He was truly a jack of all trades and a master of many, always willing to lend his skills and lend a helping hand to those who needed him.
Above all, Walter treasured his family. He loved his children and grandchildren beyond measure and never hesitated to drop everything when they needed him. No matter the time or the task, they could always count on him to show up and help in any way he could. His quiet, humble nature was matched by a deeply caring heart and a thoughtful spirit. Though he may not have always expressed himself with words, he demonstrated through his actions; his generosity and his devotion to those he loved was unwavering. Walter also had a wonderful sense of humor and a sarcastic wit that could bring laughter to those around him. His love, laughter, and steadfast presence will be dearly missed, but the legacy he leaves behind will live on through the family he cherished so deeply.
Walter Calvin Hulett peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the age of 89 years, surrounded by his loving family.
