William Loren Garlic, 94, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington. Born March 12,1922 in Summitville, Indiana, he was a son of the late William Louis & Anna Stewart Garlic. He had been a car dealer, a graduate of Purdue University, and was a proud Navy veteran of World War II as a pilot. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Downen Garlic, a brother, Stewart Garlic, and two sisters, Lodema Cook & Frances Tuerffs. His survivors include a son, Bill (Linda) Garlic of Graham, NC., two daughters, Gayle (John) Eagin of Hutto, Tx., and Janine Garlic of Lancaster, 5 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Caswell Saufley Post #18. Pallbearers will be William L. Garlic, John H. Eagin, William Luther Garlic, Matthew Eagin & Adam Brest.
