Ada Parson

Ada M. Parson, 89, of Lancaster, wife of Ralph Parson, passed away Tuesday, February 09, 2021 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born on Thursday, October 29, 1931 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Coy & Charlotte Stipes Davis. Ada was a homemaker & was a former employee at Parson’s Grocery Store. She enjoyed flowers & flower gardening, & was a member of Antioch Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sylvia Teater &Lydia Lunsford.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Parson, of Lancaster; daughter, Adrienne (Rick) Gastineau, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Elizabeth “Nikki” Gastineau-Dodd & her husband Drew, Richard Micah Gastineau, & his wife Melissa; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Gastineau, & several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Val McCord officiating & burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Bob Brooks, Ralph Sebastian, Tim Nunemaker, Micah Gastineau, Nikki Gastineau - Dodd, John Allen, David Carter, & Coy Lunsford. Honorary pallbearers include Bob & Teresa Newton, Debbie Carter, Debbie Nunemaker, Ann Russell McQueary, Carol Miller, Betty Arnold & Florence Murphy. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the funeral home.
