Alleta Foley, 85, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 in Frankfort. Alleta was born October 2, 1940, in Garrard County to the late Willie Earl and Mary Hazel Humes Mershon. She was a retired employee of Phillips / Westinghouse Lighting, and had been a faithful member of Beech Grove Baptist Church for well over 50 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, F.C. “Cedar” Foley, and a daughter, Regina Foley.
Her survivors include her son, David Earl Foley of Lancaster, a sister, Sue Mildred Simpson, of Elizabethtown, three grandchildren, Sierra, Cole & Shelby Foley as well as four great grandchildren, Millicent Carpenter, Colton Gatewood, Zaden Foley & Melina Balser.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 3, 2026 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Andy Dixon. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, Apr. 2, 2026 . Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Preston, Jason Hall, Justin Wilmot, David Foley, Cole Foley, Crandon Anderson & Jacob Balser. Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Foley, Matthew Gatewood and the men of Beech Grove Baptist Church.
