Barbara Ann Day Napier, 80, of Berea, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Born on February 25, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Nathan & Delia Brock Day. Barbara was a homemaker, and a former business owner. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, canning and gardening, and was an avid UK basketball fan. Barbara was a devout member of White Lick Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Napier; son, David Napier; brothers, Ernest, Robert, Bill, Jerry, and Boyd Day; sisters, Christine Moore, Hazel Starnes, Mae Bolton, and Margaret May.
Survivors include her son, Jeff (Shonda) Napier of Cartersville; sisters, Mary Ruth Poynter of Dreyfus, Kentucky, Para Lee Bean of Lancaster, and Gladys Green of Boston, Kentucky; grandchildren, Chelsea (Justin) Combs, Whitney Pinkney, Kyla Childress, Adreanna (Davian) Logan, Madison (Blake) Dowell, Dakota Napier, and Keannah & Kaden Childress; 10 great-grandchildren, and two special friends, Rose & Sandy.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until funeral service time at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at White Lick Baptist Church, with Bro. Dave Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Cartersville Cemetery. Pallbearers include Dakota Napier, Kaden Childress, Davian Logan, Blake Dowell, Justin Combs, and Wyatt & Russell Sparks. Honorary pallbearers include Barbara’s granddaughters, as well as Rose Miniard, and Sandy Holman.
